"Science is a way of investigating, understanding and explaining our natural world, physical world and wider universe" (NZ Curriculum).

Students need to lean what science is and how scientists work as well as scientific knowledge.

Science programmes at Eastern Hutt aim to provide hands on investigations that will develop students' curiosity of the world around us and an interest in science.

Primary Science in Focus

A couple of weeks ago the Year 5 and 6 Science Club had a visitor from Radio NZ.  Alison joined in our lesson and recorded what we were doing.  She used our lesson as part of the radio show "Our Changing World".  You can listen to the show here.

  1. I'm extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one these days.

  2. Thanks for your comment. The layout is one from Blogger but I have added bits and pieces myself.
